Gail Hunt (Chair)

President & CEO, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre

Gail Hunt has been the President and CEO of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie since July 4, 2022 and is an experienced, high-performing hospital executive and team-builder.

Gail has more than 20 years’ experience as a healthcare CEO and has earned a reputation for achieving results and inspiring others. She is a decisive, approachable, collaborative leader who is passionate about building strong partnerships and high-performing teams.

Prior to her current posting, Gail spent five years as the President & CEO of Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) in Midland, and 16 years as the CEO of Chapleau Health Services in Northern Ontario. While in those leadership positions, she managed all aspects of healthcare delivery, including primary, acute and long-term care.

Gail holds a Master’s in Business Administration and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University.

Gail has four adult children, is an avid yoga instructor, jiu jitsu enthusiast and a proud Dog Mom.
