Michael J. Ballingall (Chair)
Senior Vice President, Big White Ski Resort
Michael J. Ballingall is a well-known figure in the Okanagan Valley through his position as the Senior Vice President of Big White Ski Resort Ltd., British Columbiaās second most popular winter resort. Ballingall has worked in tourism and hospitality in the Okanagan Valley since 1982. He is well regarded as an innovative thinker and leader within the ski and snowboard industry. Under Ballingallās leadership, Big White has grown to become Canadaās Favorite Family Resort and has been honoured with many awards including top 5 Childrenās Ski School in the world.
Active in the Thompson Okanagan, he is currently the Chair of the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, Director of the Canadian Ski Council, member of Destination Canada USA Marketing Committee, member of the YLW Air Service Development team, Director Tourism Kelowna, Director Tourism Industry of British Columbia, and President of the Tourism Big White Society. Michael J. has been an integral member of the TELUS Interior and Northern BC Community Board since its inception in 2011.
